Free step by step mother’s day crafts tutorial on how to make a Symmetrical bookmarks. This is super fun and exciting bookmark craft that you would love to try with your kid. What you need is some stuff which is easily available at home. And you will have two awesome symmetrical bookmarks one for you and one for your kid. A wonderful gift for book loving Mumma and kid.
Materials required to make One for you, One for me Bookmarks
- Chart paper
- Card Stock paper
- Thread
- Colours
- Glue
- Scissors
Step by Step tutorial on how to make a one for you, one for me bookmarks with thread painting
Here is a step by step instructions on how you can make one for you, one for me bookmarksÂ
Note – We made these bookmarks with thread painting. Click on below pic to know more about how its done or follow the steps below
Step 1 – Take a small paper and fold it into half.
Step 2 – Cut the thread into some small pieces and dip one piece into one colour.
Step 3 – Take the thread out and keep it one half of paper as desired(may be in a shape) and then fold the another half and tap it gently.
Step 4 – Pull the thread out and then open the paper. You will have similar shapes and impressions on both side of paper.
Step 5 – Keep doing this until you cover the whole paper with colours
Step 6 – Cut the paper in the desired shape of bookmarks. Make sure to cut them together else you will not have a same shapes and colours on both the bookmarks.
Step 7 – Cut the card stock paper as per the size of paper and paste the bookmarks on it. It will make the bookmarks sturdy.
Step 8- If you want you can make a hole at top and tie a ribbon on it
Your symmetrical beautiful bookmarks are ready.. one for you and one for your kid.
Write a beautiful message on it.
