Our one and only little girl has opened up a world that I knew existed, but in addition, gave me a beautiful perspective to it. The world I am referring to is â€œMotherhoodâ€. Like every child in the world, she has been a blessing! She suddenly changed our lifestyles, from being a person who would wake up leisurely after the sun is bright up to a person who can stay sleepless for days. It is rough sometimes, especially since my girl is a light sleeper but for the most part there are these moments that make the sleeplessness worth it. Let me be honest , it would have been even better without the sleepless nights, but nothing comes easy! Right? Like most of the mothers of this generation, I researched a lot about babies and being a mother during my pregnancy. When reality hits you, the preparation definitely helps but only to a certain extent. I think every kid is different and you cannot follow â€œone size fits allâ€ policy. I learnt along the way, always thanked and wondered how my mom brought us up. With the limited education she had and no access to the technology we have today, I think my mother did a splendid job making sure we have our values. I hope I am able to do the same ! I try to be cautious of the environment o as kids pick up things easily. So I would rather have her pick up some good skills for life. I try to keep her busy -read books with her, do art projects, let her watch me cook and help out with whatever she can do! This has been a great journey in helping her learn and learning myself. I am happy to share this story of my life.
