Step by Step tutorial on how to make DIY Pipe cleaner Rakhi

Here is a step by step instructions (with pictures) tutorial on how you can make rakhi with pipe cleaners.

Step 1 –Take the yellow pipe cleaner and fold it like a circle (shown below). Now take the orange pipe cleaner and twirl it in the shape of flower petals. Now fold the green pipe cleaner and give it a leaf shape. We need two such green leaves.

Note – You can take pipe cleaners of your choice.

Step 2: Now as we are done with the basic design we need to paste them together to form a flower. So yellow circle will be the center of flower, folded orange design will be the petals and green will be the leaves. You can paste a bead at the center of the flower. Paste them and keep it aside for a while.

Step 3 –Now take a satin thread and put three colorful beads of our choice and stick the pipe cleaner flower at the center and again put three more beads as shown in the below picture.

Note – Instead of a bead at the center, you can also paste googly eyes at the center of the flower, it will give your rakhi a different look.

Your handmade pipe cleaner rakhi is ready. Hope you liked it !! Try it with your kids and have fun.

Happy Crafting !!
